As moms ourselves, we know how important it is to have a support network. We strive to provide compassionate help and friendship to moms in our community and to walk, as a sister, with moms in need. We also have volunteers with over 20 years experience helping moms to find the resources they need to care for themselves and their families.

In February 2024 we hosted a shower for 11 expectant and parenting moms. It was a blessing to welcome new faces to our parish and to celebrate the gift of life! We look forward to doing this again at our parish and would love to help other Catholic communities in our Archdiocese to host their own Walking with Moms in Need Baby Shower.

The heart of our ministry is prayer. We want our church to be a place of joy, warmth, and welcome for everyone. We want women who are experiencing an unexpected or crisis pregnancy or who are parenting in difficult circumstances to find practical and compassionate support through our church community. Know that we are praying for you!
About Walking with Moms in Need
Join us!
Walking with Moms in Need is a nationwide, parish-based initiative to increase support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. It works to ensure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church and be connected with the resources she needs. Volunteers walk with moms throughout the motherhood journey, offering them authentic Christian friendship and ongoing support.
Our Stillwater, MN chapter of Walking with Moms in Need meets twice a month at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Stillwater, MN. Third Saturday Community Dinner
All are invited to join us at St. Michael's Rose Hall on the Third Saturday of each month from 5:00-6:30 PM. Our free dinner includes a main entrée, side dishes, salad, fruit and dessert!

A Prayer for Pregnant Mothers
O Blessed Mother, you received the good news of the incarnation of Christ, your Son, with faith and trust. Grant your protection to all pregnant mothers facing difficulties.
Guide us as we strive to make our parish communities places of welcome and assistance for mothers in need. Help us become instruments of God’s love and compassion.
Mary, Mother of the Church, graciously help us build a culture of life and a civilization of love, together with all people of good will, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.
